Lucky Chip was worth the wait!

19 Feb

Lucky Chip

Last week saw me finally get around to eating at Meat Liquor and yesterday I finally made it to Lucky Chip. And after just one bite I was kicking myself that it had taken me so long – because Lucky Chip’s burgers are something else!

Finally Getting Round to Meat Liquor

12 Feb

Meat Liquor

When it comes to London’s two most famous burger vans (Meat Wagon and Lucky Chip) I have a pretty poor run of luck. Every time I’ve tried to go visit them something has got in the way and i’ve ending up cancelling. When Meat Wagon was in it’s Meat Easy stage I managed to queue for about an hour and make it inside before the rest of my group turned up late, didn’t fancy the now two hour queue so we ended up eating Thai down the road. London’s Newest Street Food Burger

Eat My PiesSo still hungry I decided to head down Broadway market, just a few minutes away and see what street food was on offer.  And it turns out, quite a lot!  There was a great choice including Vietnamese Banh Mi baguettes from Banhmi11, Vietnamese Coffee from Ca Phe VN, or Ghanain stews from Spinach & Agushi.  While I’ll definitely head back soon to try all of these, this time I decided try a bit of British street food, albeit with a bit of a twist, from Eat My Pies. Big Apple Hot Dogs

6 Sep

I can’t think of a better way to kick off this new blog than with the best hot dog i’ve ever eaten.  Located at the top of Old Street, Big Apple Hot Dogs are serving up delicious uncomplicated food.  Nothing fancy here, just perfect street food.  We’re not talking the bland, pretty pathetic excuses that Supermarkets sell as hot dogs, but proper meaty hot dogs that taste fantastic.
